Enter through the Door which leads to Life
If it had not been that the Lord was with us, let Israel now say: If it had not been that the Lord was with us, when men rose up against us, perhaps they had swallowed us up alive. When their fury was enkindled against us, perhaps the waters had swallowed us up. Our soul hath passed through a torrent: perhaps our soul had passed through a water insupportable.
Blessed be the Lord, who hath not given us to be a prey to their teeth. Our soul hath been delivered as a sparrow out of the snare of the fowlers. The snare is broken, and we are delivered. Our help is in the name of the Lord, who made heaven and earth.
Psalm 123
Bless the Lord, Rebecca, Who alone has the power to rescue us from death, Who has preserved you from destruction. Bless the Lord, Rebecca, Who wills to deliver you out of all bondage to sin. The Lord knows our weakness, but He loves us unceasingly. He will forgive you and free you. In the time He has chosen, when you are ready, He will welcome you to the place He has prepared for you, where He abides forever. There you will be comforted. There you will rejoice. I pray that the time will be soon. Through Christ our Lord.
“Let not your heart be troubled. You believe in God, believe also in me.
In my Father's house there are many mansions. If not, I would have told you: because I go to prepare a place for you.
And if I shall go, and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and will take you to myself; that where I am, you also may be.
And whither I go you know, and the way you know.”
Thomas saith to him: “Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way?”
Jesus saith to him: “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No man cometh to the Father, but by me.”
John 14:1-6
Holy Savior, Who ascended into Heaven this day, draw Rebecca after You, I pray, and send your angel to escort her to paradise.
Blessed King, Prince of Peace grant her rest and life in Thee.
Prayers upon prayers for you sweet friend. And may God receive them as sweet incense, not as noisy yammering. Hoping in yesterday's Gospel, I pray that God will restore your soul, and that through Christ a bond of charity will unite us forever.
St. Mary Magdalen of Pazzi, pray for her.
May the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory,
give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation
in the knowledge of Him.
May the eyes of your hearts be enlightened,
that you may know what is the hope that belongs to His call,
what are the riches of glory
in His inheritance among the holy ones,
and what is the surpassing greatness of His power
for us who believe,
in accord with the exercise of His great might,
which He worked in Christ,
raising Him from the dead
and seating Him at His right hand in the heavens,
far above every principality, authority, power, and dominion,
and every name that is named
not only in this age but also in the one to come.
And He put all things beneath his feet
and gave Him as head over all things to the Church,
which is His body,
and the fulness of Him who fills all in all.
