Fidelity to the Word
Our Lord and His Holy Apostles at the Last Supper

A blog dedicated to Christ Jesus our Lord and His True Presence in the Holy Mystery of the Eucharist

The Lord Jesus, the same night in which He was betrayed, took bread, and giving thanks, broke, and said: Take ye and eat, this is My Body which shall be delivered for you; this do for the commemoration of Me. In like manner also the chalice.

Lord Of All Hopefulness

Lord of all hopefulness, Lord of all joy,
Whose trust, ever child-like, no cares could destroy,
Be there at our waking, and give us, we pray,
Your bliss in our hearts, Lord, at the break of the day.

Lord of all eagerness, Lord of all faith,
Whose strong hands were skilled at the plane and the lathe,
Be there at our labours, and give us, we pray,
Your strength in our hearts, Lord, at the noon of the day.

Lord of all kindliness, Lord of all grace,
Your hands swift to welcome, your arms to embrace,
Be there at our homing, and give us, we pray,
Your love in our hearts, Lord, at the eve of the day.

Lord of all gentleness, Lord of all calm,
Whose voice is contentment, whose presence is balm,
Be there at our sleeping, and give us, we pray,
Your peace in our hearts, Lord, at the end of the day.

Trust in the Lord

O dearest friend, trust in the Lord, call upon His holy Name,
and He will save you forever.
Call upon the Lord, and He will answer you.
His love is unwavering, unshakeable, enduring.
He made you, He sustains you,
He glorifies and frees all those who dare to trust in Him,
and follow Him without reservation.

Be free, my beloved, be holy, listen for His voice.

Those who trust in the Lord are like Mount Zion,
which cannot be shaken but endures forever.
As the mountains surround Jerusalem,
so the Lord surrounds his people
    both now and forevermore.

Psalm 125:1-2

Meanwhile, dear friend, I am still in the world and too much of the world. Not yet firmly rooted in Christ, I feel the pull of worldly concerns and temptations. Pray for those you have left behind, when you can.

Saint Ubald, by your prayers may we be freed from the wiles of the devil and all sinful thought and hardness of heart. Pray for us, holy saint, that we may offer our Creator our hearts and minds and our faithful service with unfeigned devotion. Though Christ our Lord.
